Baltimore at an Angle is the brainchild of South London-based multi-instrumentalist G. Gillingham. Defined by his dissonant vocals, off-kilter drumbeats and jangly country-infused guitar riffs, Gillingham has created a project reminiscent of 80's alternative bands such as Echo & the Bunnymen and The Church. With lyrics touching on diverse themes ranging from Orientalism to B-movie horror films, the project is united by a wistful and spooky atmosphere influenced by the likes of The National and Talking Heads.

On ‘I’m a Victor’, Gillingham worked with Brighton-based dream pop artist and producer Archie Sagers who mixed all of the tracks and provided bass duties. The collaboration between the two musicians brings an interesting departure from the project’s previously lo-fi aesthetic yet retains its distinctive identity.
