Discovery 03:20
Half of what I know are lies We’ve been trying to kill this town for our whole lives This discovery My hands are tied Life’s a luxury Running out of time Feeling torn after sleepless nights Wanting more than the spot in your eyes Just like a father chasing highs Letting go after holding tight This discovery My hands are tied Life’s a luxury Running out of time

Wilora 02:44
Your silhouette plays against the walls An echoed dance from once before Another day and a chapter done We’ll forget our past and stay young When the sun falls on Wilora And your head’s what keeps you down Then it’s time for us to move on Get away from this stale town We’ll wait till next spring to lose ourselves We’ll forget our past and stay young When the sun falls on Wilora And your head’s what keeps you down Then it’s time for us to move on Get away from this stale town

Away Chasing the clouds A vague response and a hallow heart Your song sung without words Now it’s lost Under heard Where did you go, again? You were hanging by a thread Where did you go, my friend? Telling a story without an end Your ways, set you apart A broken home, that’s rich with art Belong, to the crooked town Saving space means you’re gone for now Where did you go, again? You were hanging by a thread Where did you go, my friend? Telling a story without an end

Lone Flyer 03:35
I’m drifting at the sound of your laugh Not enough to make me stay The distance we can’t prevent Fade away Your suspicious at the tone that I lack Despite the words I say I’m hearing whispers all over again On replay Flying alone, into the sun Wasting away Flying alone, into the sun Wasting away Entranced by the end of the glass Asleep while I’m awake You know that I can’t stay Runaway Your mission is a flash back With your past on display But there’s nothing here left to save Fade away Flying alone, into the sun Wasting away Flying alone, into the sun Wasting away Flying alone Flying alone Flying alone Flying alone Flying alone Flying alone

Sleep 03:56
Far from home Set on fire Countless dreams Pacified When something’s just not right Laying away the whole night As our pasts will grow in length As we continue to change Can’t chase the silver lining all the time Painting the world I see Until I get some sleep One day I’ll live inside a peaceful mind Out of frame Time’s unkind A sprawling maze Trapped inside When your thoughts are magnified Staying awake the whole night As our pasts will grow in length As we continue to change Can’t chase the silver lining all the time Painting the world I see Until I get some sleep One day I’ll live inside a peaceful mind

Ms Fortune 03:08
Sailed off Into the night Counting steps along the street She’s there Under the light While her darkness swallows me Ms. Fortune, I’ll never let you go These busy streets still feel alone So close yet, far away from home Departed from the life I’ve known Outworn Put up a fight Counting days through the week She’s there Get out of my sight While her darkness swallows me Ms. Fortune, I’ll never let you go These busy streets still feel alone So close yet, far away from home Departed from the life I’ve known You know, You know You know, You know You know, You know You know, You know

Nostalgia 02:59
Do you remember the lights Uncover your eyes It’s whether we come clean about tonight On the bright side nostalgia On the bright side nostalgia On the bright side nostalgia… nostalgia… nostalgia You can’t turn back the time I will always wish it away Until I know it’s too late As drab as it seems Getting lost within our dreams On the bright side nostalgia On the bright side nostalgia On the bright side nostalgia… nostalgia… nostalgia You can’t turn back the time I will always wish it away Until I know it’s too late

Running 02:27
The days They fall away Like sand coming out of an hour glass And I can’t seem to find out what is first And I can’t seem to figure out what is last A moment will come A moment will pass But there’s nothing I can do, But watch the past Running, To keep the pace But I know, I won’t last The keys inside A dream of mine I need to find But I’m still blind Bones will break And flesh is torn A rose in my hand I feel the thorns The storm is near To take me away I feel the thunder The sound of rain The flame is lit The candle burns That feeling’s here It’s my turn
10.
The Letter 03:21
Feels like it came undone before the sun came up Swimming in the rain above until the clouds find out Feels like the same as before, You know I’d like to sway When the waves blame the shore, continue to crash away I know that I want to be there I know that I want to be there I know that I want to be there I know that I want to be there Feels like it came undone before the sun came up Scattered thoughts my brain’s overrun I know I’ll mess things up Feels like the same as before, you know I’d like some change When you start to crave some more, continue to crash away I know that I want to be there I know that I want to be there I know that I want to be there …want to be there

about

Lovingly dubbed ‘anxious rock performed by day dreamers’, Wine Pride layers percussive and ethereal loops, with introspective themes amidst an arena of enchanting effects and a dreamlike overlay of reverb. Inspired by bands like: The Cure, Beach Fossils, Bdrmm and New Order, Wine Pride offer a nostalgic and dreamy gateway into the recent past.

Everything from the name to the music and visuals reinforces a sense of intoxicating delicacy and emotional depth. The aim of the project was to create an atmosphere that elicits moments of self-reflection and escapism by interlacing otherwise contrasting themes of melancholy and bliss. Combining ethereal tones of dream pop and shoegaze with a driving post-punk edge, Wine Pride create phasing instruments that fill the space and become more than the sum of their parts. Sharp basslines create a sense of urgency that is weighed down by a blanket of enveloping effects and reverberating echoic guitars.

"Originally Wine Pride was the name of my (Aaron) musical journal. I never felt fully comfortable writing down words to capture my daily experiences so I deferred to music as that outlet. Eventually, friends from the local North Carolina music and skateboarding scene would join me to jam and collaborate on some of the early DIY recording sessions.

In early 2019 childhood friends (the Kozlowski Brothers) would become permanent fixtures adding their surf rock and dream inspired tones and energy to the project. Wine Pride began playing shows and working on an album soon after this initial collaboration. Drummer Dylan Shane would join the band in the midst of the pandemic. His style was inspired by robotic drum machine patterns that populated our early output. 2023 has been a big year for the group not only because of the long awaited self-titled album, but also as Alex Hanifin would finally join as a contributing writer and bass player after his vital contribution to the band’s original project. Alex and I (Aaron) joined forces previously in bands such as; Broke Jokes and Buried In Roses."
