"Silva was originally formed in the mid ‘90’s by a group of school friends from the Clare/Limerick border. With a focus on song craft and experimentation rather than musicianship, the band made some progress and had a lot of fun along the way...but ultimately fell by the wayside as members left for university and life moved on. Now many years later, and with time and some tech involved, some old songs (supported by a few new tunes) are being revisited - and many recorded for the first time by singer/songwriter David Quin. The songwriter/musician - now based in Meath, Ireland - has been writing since his teens and only got the time and means to record a few songs during lockdown. The music is Alt/indie rock/folk with an experimental edge. It should appeal to fans of The National, The Decemberists, Wilco, Pavement and has all been home recorded over the last 9 months in lockdown."
