Hailing from Brighton, ELLiS·D veers between Psychedelic jangle and taut Post-Punk attack, singing with an unapologetic honesty of the burden of guilt shouldered by today’s youth for the world future generations are set to inherit. Fierce Motorik rhythms underpin sweeping, rose-tinted melodies, subtly hinting at aspects of Indie, Krautrock and Baroque Pop without ever firmly bedding down roots at any of their doors.

Starting out as a drummer playing in a host of different bands from the age of 15 - most notably the garage four piece Strange Cages - ELLiS·D began his solo career in the summer of 2019 with the release of the single “Elastic” before following up with a string of further singles and his debut EP in Feb ’21, the first record to be released via his own DIY Label ‘Change The F*cking Records!’.

‘We Are The Last Generation’ sees ELLiS·D at his most eclectic to date, fusing together the high-octane energy that his live audiences have become accustomed to with a more methodical songwriting approach, underpinned by an anxiety ridden, histrionic vocal style that simultaneously quivers and roars above the instrumentation. Tackling deep-rooted existential fears on the EP of a future slipping from our grasp, ELLiS·D attempts to come to terms with these issues with the cynicism and trace hope embodied by the youth of today. It also sees him team up our label "Crafting Room Recordings" for his first physical release on cassette

Since the return of live music in 2021 ELLiS·D has been performing constantly across the South East, supporting the likes of Blanketman, U-Bahn, Hadda Be + Hi-Vis in Brighton + London on top of hometown headline shows, receiving airplay from BBC Introducing, Boogaloo, TotallyRadio, Slack City, as well as curating a monthly night in the cellar of the Brunswick with Change The F*cking Records!
